Easel Card Tutorial

Hi there!

I have been contacted by a few people to advise them on how to make an easel card, so I thought I would a quick tutorial on how I make it. Everyone has their own way, but this is how I do it, as I am absolutely useless at doing measurements etc!!

Pic 1: Get two cards the size you want to make your easel card.

Pic 2: Cut the front off one of the cards.

Pic 3: Fold the front cover of the uncut card in half (fold inside so meets the middle of the card.)

Pic 4 & 5: Using the piece of card that you have cut off the other card (pic 2), you then stick this onto the folded over section to give you the slanted easel shape.

Pic 6: This is what it should look like from the front!

Hopefully that is easy to follow! If you use this tutorial, would love to see your cards!! Thanks for stopping by!

Dum Dum de Dum!!

Morning!
How you doing today? We are all about feeling the love over at Charisma today. This weeks challenge is:

Wedding / Anniversary

This came at a good time for me as my friend in England asked me to make an anniversary card for her friend. She said it had to be white & silver only and had to have their names and a poem on the inside. So yep, an easel card was what was needed! I decided to put it in a box too.

Recipe: silver & white card from stash, ribbon from ebay, pearls from stash, hearts cut on Expression

WOYWW #48

OOOOhhh I have now started loving Wednesdays at the fantastic idea of Julia's for WOYWW - it gives you a great time to go and nose at other peoples desks, creations, storage ideas etc! I tried to get to as many as possible last week but not the entire list. Thank you to all of you who stopped by and left a comment *mwah*.

So, after the pics of my awfully untidy desk and craft room last week, I thought it was time for a tidy up - and here is the end result - yes, that is what it looks like this morning!!

So on this pic you can see the newest addition to my craft room - 2 butterfly Martha Stewart punches (yay!) and some absolutely gorgeous butterfly diecuts. I have also moved my buttons and my dew drops to my desk as I thought they were prettier to look at than the black boxes that were there before. The sign at the window is plaque from my sister - its says "A balanced diet means a cake in both hands' - I love it!

Now, see those 3 huge boxes - can you believe I have had them for about 6 months and wasn't using them as I didn't know what to put in them!! One now houses all my ribbons instead of them being in 3 different places, another houses cards that I have made, and the other one has all things for me to alter. All my little black boxes are around these now, so I don't look at them all the time. The canvas on the boxes is something I have made to put on my table at craft shows. There is a pic on the pinboard that my daughter did a few months ago of us as a family - I absolutely love it!!

Lastly, look at what I found when I was tidying up! I don't even remember buying these so this was a nice little find!!

Amazing!

Morning all!

Sorry I have been awol and not left many comments - but I had my eyes lasered on Saturday and they are now feel fabulous and I can see! I have worn glasses for over 30 years and had very bad eyesight...now to be able to see without them, WOW, its a dream come true to be honest.

Do you ever see something so pretty when crafting, that it makes you think that you want to keep a card simple? I found this ribbon when I was sorting out my craft room (still to be finished...), and I thought it was beautiful. I decided it just needed a very simple card as I wanted to make a feature of it - I quite like how it turned out!

Recipe: ribbon from chocolates, sentiment from stash, Bazzill Basics brown card

I would also like to enter this into the following challenges:

Spoonfull of Sugar #101 - 3D
Fab 'n' Funky #21 - No DP
Practical Scrappers - Stickers (sentiment is stickers)
Raise the Bar #16 - My Retreat Colours (living room - cream and brown!)
