Last Christmas Card of 2010

Hello!

So I am finally getting around to putting on my last christmas card of the year!!

This one was for my hubby.  I don't normally get the time to do a christmas card for him so he was well chuffed this year!!

I got some lovely stickers from Papermania when I was in Liverpool in the summer and only found them when I was puttng away my christms stuff...so Hubby's card had to have them on!

I think that this colour scheme is lovely - may have to do them all like that next year!!

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Crazy Challenge #47 - Punch It - snowflakes
Fussy & Fancy - Snow

Well, thanks for stopping by!

Happy New Year!

Top 10 Cards of 2010

Hiya!

Whoops was too late for the blog hop, but her are my top 10 cards anyway!

Now onto the tough choice of picking my favourite 10 of the year...

1.  I absolutely love this card and its simplicity...trying to figure out a way to do it kinda the same for this Valentines but with a 'slight' twist!

2.  OK..so I could get a bit boring here and keep saying I love this card too...first time I tried to do my own flowers and I love using the curvy shaped card!

3.  This card I made for my daughters teacher, it was off my daughter and her friend, so I did a silver butterfly on the black flower to signify the teacher, and the two little black butterflies as my daughter & her friend leaving..!  Teacher loved it!

4.  My second ever easel card - love making these, don't make them enough to be honest!

5.  Funky dino card..I don't make many of them to be honest.need to get more into making mens/boys cards!

6.  I love doing these bow flowers, and the colours of this one is quite pretty I think!

7.  Now, this has got to be one of the quickest card I have ever made...and I quite like it!

8.  A funky birthday card for a trendy teenager - can't remember who makes this paper but its fab!!

9.  My first ever layered Christmas tree - love it!!

10.  Lastly, my favourite christmas card - clean and simple...love the ribbon like this, not done it before, think I will have to use it like this all the time!!

So, there you go!  Has to be the hardest top 10 ever!  Thank you for stopping by and I can't wait to look at everyone else's top 10!

Happy New Year!!

Not a Traditional Christmas Card

Good Morning everyone!

Ooooh, isn't it getting exciting that its sooooo near to Christmas?  Part of me is really sad that I won't be seeing any family this year, but this is the first time in my 10 years with my husband, including since having the kiddies, that we are spending Christmas just the 4 of us.  I am really looking forward to starting our own chirstmas traditions...its going to be lovely.

Speaking of traditions, I wanted to make a Christmas card that wasn't traditional!!  I decided on a star based one, however, I don't have any stars, so after a while of trying to get the shape right, I managed to kinda make one (don't look too close as it as the points aren't equal!!).

Recipe:
handmade star, rope from chocolates, brads from ebay, chipboard shapes from DCWV, ribbon & buttons from stash, glitter stars from Hobbycraft, Christmas tree from my friend, bell from choc bunny, Merry Christmas Rub On from PaperLane

Hope my friend likes it!!  All the bits on there I have had for years but never use..I just went in my embellishment tub and pulled everything out!!

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:

Sentimental Sundays #34 - Inspired by a Song  - mine is 'Merry Christmas'
Lil Red Wagon #59 - Rub Ons  - my sentiment is a rub-on
Cooking It Up #42 - Ribbons & Brads  - flower is ribbon and gingerbread hubby & wife brad!

Feeling Christmassy!

Hi everyone!

How are you all doing?  I hope you are managing in the snow, it looks so bad on the news.  I have tried my best today to try to feel christmassy - finding it hard as its very warm here and of course, there are not many decorations in the shop.

Therefore I popped my Santa hat on, started eating christmas cakes, watched The Grinch followed by making some Christmas cards for my friends children.  Whilst blog hopping I spotted someone had done a layered tree (for the life of me I can't find the blog now..if you know, or if I find it, I will post on here).  I thought it would be good to try and this is what I came up with...

Recipe: K&Co papers, sentiment from stash & printed, dew drops from ebay, ric rac from stash, glitter star from PaperLane, charm & beads from ebay

I would also like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Thank you for stopping by and Merry Christmas!!!

Found some treasure!

Hello all!

Well, after moving into my new house at the beginning of September, I am finally proud to say that I have at last tidied up my craft room!!

The best thing is...I have found all these bags full of new goodies that I need to find somewhere for!! I daren't look into them until I had tided up, so this will be a fun task for later!!

Hope you are all keeping warm in the terrible weather.

Remember to stop by Top Tip Tuesday as this weeks challenge is an Anything Goes Challenge - hope to see you there!!
